A new display by Italian brand Riva 1920

Our partner, the Italian furniture factory Riva 1920 is getting ready to celebrate its 100th anniversary. In fact, as early as next year we are expecting the brand to launch some mind-blowing new collections and, of course, to reinterpret iconic pieces for such an important anniversary. In the meantime, we are proud of another success: the factory is expanding its global presence and opening a new flagship showroom! This time – in Cologne.
The project was realised in collaboration with Pfannes & Virnich, the German historic design shop. The philosophy of the brand is fully reflected here. The exhibition is a modern space which houses solid wood furniture. These are exclusive pieces reflecting an artisanal culture and made from authentic materials.
The space consists of two levels, with four zones highlighted on the first. There is a splendid table made of kauri wood (a thousand-year-old tree from New Zealand) just outside the entrance, and then two further areas. One focuses on interior furnishings in cedar (designed by C. R. & S), while the other features solid walnut. The protagonists of the last zone are the Noblè armchairs by Gabriele and Giuliano Cappelletti, the Tao tables and Crazy shelving unit designed by C. R. R. & SRiva 1920.
Different areas are also highlighted on the first floor, with the Wilma armchair by designer TerryDwan, beaten by the Stump table made from millennia-old kauri wood.
The Italian brand's new showroom has a very special atmosphere and the furnishings are synonymous with unique wood. The intricately crafted raw materials form the basis for an elegant and sophisticated style.
